Sophie Piskos
Catcher for the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns

SOPHIE’S Purpose
Ignite the lives of people I come in contact with on a daily basis, using my positive energy and relentless work ethic to motivate and help others achieve their goals.
As my Dad always said “the harder you work, the luckier you get!” Giving back to the world is a priority as the world has given me so much. Most of all, thank you to all of my coaches, teachers, mentors, and teammates who have shaped my life and made these great opportunities possible.
When things got tough as a kid, Sophie’s dad would often tell her, “Keep carrying the water. Eventually, it’ll turn to wine.” – Dr. Kevin Elko
Was practice too hard? Keep carrying the water.
Sore from lifting? Keep carrying the water.
Classes are hard? Keep. Carrying. The Water.
Whether she’s training for the season, doing hurricane relief work with her team, or focusing on schoolwork, Sophie doesn’t quit. She does what it takes to succeed, and she does it with a smile on her face. Read about her positive impact on the 2021 Ragin’ Cajuns softball season here.
